A Catholic School for Girls

Holy Rosary is a Catholic school and the Catholic goal of living life in harmony with God's will is the motive behind all we do. All girls attend Holy Mass and are expected to behave with respect towards Our Lady with Baby Jesurall faiths. Non-Catholic students are not forced to recite prayers which are specifically said by Catholics.  Any girl may hold office, irrespective of her religion (except for the position of Head of Religion).

Catholic Instruction

Catholic girls are prepared for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation. All girls, whether Catholic or not, attend Holy Mass both in the School Chapel and in the Parish Church. They are instructed in Bible Study, Catholic doctrine and the significance of Feast days. The feasts of Saints are also incorporated into the curriculum.

Non-Catholic Students

Girls are educated within a Christian Ethos which ensures that our girls develop values which are accepted by all people of faith whatever their denomination. In high school the girls follow the Cord and Christian Journey syllabus.

Important Catholic Feasts

  • Easter - As part of our preparation for Easter, the Primary School girls participate in a simple dramatisation of the Passion of Our Lord.
  • Christmas - To celebrate the joy of the Christmas Season we have a Christmas Pageant and Carols Evening.
