High School Academics
Each girl in the high school is encouraged to achieve her full potential. A high academic standard is maintained through the disciplined commitment of both girls and academic staff.
Our policy is to keep the size of classes to a maximum of about twenty-five learners. This is essential to our conviction that each girl should receive as much individual attention from the teacher as possible in the teaching, assessing and, if necessary, remediating processes. An ongoing extra lesson programme is offered in all subjects.
We are constantly aware of the need to develop a firm foundation of knowledge, skills and Christian values, whilst implementing the required academic curriculum, as laid down by the Department of Education.
Holy Rosary School writes the Independent Examinations Board’s National Senior Certificate. The I.E.B. is committed to maintaining a high standard of education nationally, which effectively prepares students for tertiary education and any career path they may choose to follow.
Holy Rosary School achieves excellent results in the I.E.B. examinations. (See 2008 Matric Results).
