This picture was taken at the Grace Bible Church in Soweto. At the beginning of every year the Church hosts an Achiever’s Awards Ceremony. The purpose of the Ceremony is to recognise and reward pupils from different schools in Gauteng who achieved exceptional results in the previous year’s matric exams.
Different dignitaries were invited to the event this year, including the Minister of Higher Education, Hon. Blade Nzimande and his wife. Chad Markham gave a motivational speech. Chad is the first coloured / black man to own an Aviation School.
Seen in the photo are two proud Holy Rosary girls, Unathi and Zenani Radebe (Gr 3R and 5V) who were present at the ceremony with their parents.
